Performance Enhancing Upgrades. Large, resistant cleat contact area. The Keo 2 Max uses a larger cleat contact area for increased efficiency and a more comfortable pedal stroke. It is also compatible with Keo Grip cleats for the ultimate solid coupling of cleat and pedal. The contact area has been made from stainless steel, moulded into the body of the pedal, giving a more durable finish for a longer lifespan as well as better power transfer efficiency. Light Weight. The refined shape of the new Keo also results in a weight saving of 10g compared to it's predecessor, bringing the overall weight down to 130g. Reliability. To retain it's status as an enduring classic the Keo 2 has been developed to be dependable, mile after mile. Composite models like this one use the same oversized cromo axle and bearing combination but with a composite body instead of a carbon one. As a result they are slightly heavier and slightly less rigid, although a low stack height keeps the negative effects to a minimum, so the biggest difference you'll really notice is the price! Performance and Power Transfer. The new line of Keo 2 MAX pedals maintains a low cleat contact height despite the steel oversize axle. The pedal is built with two miniature ball bearings (12mm inner x 18mm outer diameters) and a needle roller bearing, keeping the stack height nice and low on the strong and stiff ovesized axle.
