For the construction, Yeti used a heavier weight stretch polyester than what's found in the Caddoa shorts. This material selection provides a tougher fabric that brushes off diggers, while still retaining the freedom of movement that's necessary to confidently maneuver the bike in technical situations. And to be certain that you're prepared for whatever the mountain has to offer, Yeti also treated the fabric with a water-repellent DWR finish. This finish will bead off light to moderate rain without sacrificing the polyester's natural breathability. So, regardless of if you're sweating or getting rained on, you're guaranteed to remain dry and comfortable. Further separating itself from the Caddoa shorts, the Norrie also has a longer inseam - 12 inches compared to the Caddoa's nine. This increased leg coverage adds a touch of extra security for the inevitable spills that result from all-mountain riding. To securely hold the short in place, Yeti incorporated a wide waistband with additional silicone grippers. With this feature, the pre-shaped leg panels are free to follow your movements in the saddle without falling victim to either sag or rise. And for further flexibility, the shorts also feature a stretch yolk at the seat panel, ensuring that you're covered in multiple riding positions. For pedaling comfort, Yeti employs internal glide patches and a seamless crotch to prevent any irritation. To store all of your ride essentials, the Norrie has two hook-and-loop hand pockets and a zippered stash pocket. And like all Yeti shorts, the Norrie is compatible with Yeti's Ruby liner, which features an Italian made chamois.
